British Caribbean Heritage Project 2014!

This project aims to research and share British Caribbean Heritage in Waltham Forest.
The Project has two parts
Part two will involve me exploring oral histories and library and museum archives to write a short play to be
performed in local libraries and community centres. The project will be delivered with the support Waltham Forest
libraries and museums.
Part two involves elders in the community being interviewed by school children. In addition children will explore
information in library and museum archives. The Heritage discovered will be shared through theatre piece
devised by the children and will be performed in schools.

 

12 writers will be invited to take part in the Write Network and Goat Theatre partnership project October 2013.

Subsidized Cost: £75.00

Writers will receive:

8 workshops over a six month period to guide them through the process of a writing a short play.

A read through by professional actors at around week six

The opportunity to have a rehearsed reading with invited audience.

      The Theatre program starts this Saturday 19th October. It involves eight workshops to write a short play, an actors read through, and the opportunity to have a rehearsed reading, plus publication. The program will cost you £75.00. Do let me know asap if you would like to join.
